Please be aware there are several Loving Poodles on site
In 2004 when Stained Glass Station opened to the public, Rebecca was the only person in the building. To keep her company, her adopted standard poodle, Adorable (Dora) came to work. She alerted Rebecca to new customers, greeted customers, and in more than one instance discouraged unlawful activities. Customers often greeted Dora before talking to Rebecca!
Poodles rarely cause allergic reactions so even customers allergic to dogs found they could enjoy being around Dora. Rebecca was also delighted to find that poodles are very conscious of their movements and Dora never damaged any glass or supplies.
Rebecca and Curtis became known as people that would take dogs that have been horribly abused; physically, emotionally, and mentally. The Hite’s found that reintroducing abused dogs into the public at the store has greatly hastened their recovery. Currently there are 3 standard poodles working at Creative Art Glass Station. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, please call us and they will be housed in the office while you are visiting.
