Special Order of Supplies: We require a 50% deposit of the estimated cost of the item at the time of the order. The deposit will be refunded if we cannot procure the item for you. If the item is refused upon delivery, the deposit is forfeit.
Special Order of Glass: We require a 50% deposit of the estimated cost of the glass at the time of the order. A minimum purchase of a half of a sheet of glass is required. The deposit will be refunded if we cannot procure the glass for you. If the glass is refused upon delivery, the deposit is forfeit. We will do our very best to get the glass as requested but there must be the understanding that art glass varies in shade, texture and color. If the glass ordered matches the number, manufacturer, and texture requested, then it will be considered that Stained Glass Station has fulfilled its obligation.
A policy that sets us apart from others in our field is our free auditing for graduating students of our Beginning Fusing class or our Professional Methods Stained Glass. Sometimes a student cannot indulge their art as they would like and enough time goes by that they do not feel confident in their stained glass knowledge. Also, because we keep abreast of the latest techniques, science, and products, our teaching evolves and changes every year. We do not want our graduating students to be left out! Materials will be at the auditing student's expense but new notes and information are free!
A student is not registered for a class unless there is a minimum of a 50% deposit. If a student has indicated that they will take the class but has not put down a deposit, then their place in class will be forfeited in the case of a full class. These students are not counted toward a minimum of three students in the class.
A minimum of three students are required to have a class. If we do not have enough students to hold the class, we will call 2 days before the proposed start date to indicate that the class has been canceled. The student can then get a refund or transfer their deposit to the next scheduled class.
In the event a student cannot make a class or elects to withdraw from a class the following policy will be enforced:
Students are responsible to attend the scheduled classes and to do the assigned work. We will do our best to ensure that each student has the opportunity, tools, and materials to learn the art of stained glass. However, there are no guarantees that the student will complete the class or that they will complete the projects assigned.
